2009-10 STUDENT MATINEE PERFORMANCES


• Online registration for ALL matinees will begin in September. See events below for specific dates.
• Priority registration is given for target grades but other grades are allowed if space is available and the show is appropriate.
• Please check back periodically for updates.
• Fee waiver and reduction requests available when registering.
• Option to pay with credit card online available. Otherwise an invoice will be emailed.
• All information subject to change.

Tap Dogs

It starts like a rainstorm, just a drizzle, the pitterpatter of a lone tapper. But before you know it, the stage is rumbling, sparks are flying, and these Australian dancers quickly move across every level of the stage.

Pilobolus

Step into another world, where bodies  contort and fuse to form surreal shapes. Though featured in movies and television commercials; however, nothing compares to seeing them live on stage.

Peking Acrobats

The Peking Acrobats do it all, fire, knives, acrobatics, and balance. Whether dangling high above the stage or spinning 100 plates on bamboo sticks, the performers know how to make the impossible appear effortless.

Is it martial arts, or is it dance? Forbidden to learn formal combat, 16th century Brazilian slaves disguised self-defense with traditional African dances that became its modern incarnation: Capoeira.

James & the Giant Peach - Youth Theatre at the U

Celebrating "U" on the Circle

fiestaThis annual May event has become a celebration of the diverse cultural richness of Utah and an introduction to the availability of the University of Utah as a viable option for all students.  Performance from 10-11 and picnic (school provides lunches) from 11-12.
